SIMPSON BAY – The 2nd annual Caribbean Aviation Meetup will be held June 13-15, 2017 on St. Maarten, and is hosted by St. Maarten’s Princess Juliana International Airport (PJIA). The conference venue is Sonesta Maho Beach Resort.

The Caribbean Aviation Meetup is a results-oriented platform for communication between the various stakeholders in the aviation, tourism and investment industries.

Airlift is vital to tourism and tourism is vital to the economies in the entire Caribbean region. The Caribbean is one of the most complicated regions worldwide as for air transportation.

Some 20 speakers are committed; 9 speakers have acknowledged, but cannot fully commit yet (often major international institutions or multinational companies cannot fully commit before January or February 2017). Presentations/speakers will come from 14 countries/territories: Bahamas, Turks & Caicos, Cuba, Jamaica, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, St. Barths, Commonwealth of Dominica, St. Lucia, Canada, USA, UK, Czech Republic, Russia (When going by nationality, one would have to add Costa Rica, Venezuela, South Korea, and Austria).
