PHILIPSBURG, St. Maarten – According to unconfirmed reports, Safe Cargo on the Airport Road was robbed on Friday evening.
Sources say that the robbery took place at around 7:40pm after which the bandits escaped the crime scene.
Reports later came in that an serious accident took place on the airport road and that the robbers may have been involved.
Our reports also state that the robbers apparently caused the accident on the Airport Road however they managed to keep on going and made their escape to the French side of the island using a white vehicle with French Number plates (unknown to our newsroom).
Police spokesman Inspector Ricardo Henson could not confirm this information but that stated that the information is being looked into.
Our sources also state that a heavy police and Detective presence was observed at the reported crime scenes.
