~ 2 persons was shot ~
PHILIPSBURG, St. Maarten – The police force of St. Maarten is now investigating a shooting in the parking lot of the Westin Hotel on Sunday morning after 10:00 am.
The police spokesman Inspector Ricardo Henson told our news room that two persons were shot during the incident which took place on the second floor of the hotel’s parking lot.
Two victims were rushed to the hospital in a private vehicle while another person who heard the shots and in his bid to get away, jumped from the second floor of the parking lot, broke his leg. He remained at the scene of the crime.
The injuries sustained by the two victims that was rushed to the St. Maarten Medical Center (SMMC) is not known.
A white SUV and a blue Hyundai car is said to have transported the victims to the hospital. The victims is said to have lost a lot of blood as could be witnessed by looking into the vehicle.
