~ Former MLC inmate in Police custody ~
Pointe Blanche, Sint Maarten — On Wednesday, December, 28, at 2:35pm, Police Central Dispatch was informed of a stabbing incident that had occurred during an altercation between inmates at the Pointe Blanche Prison.
A patrol was immediately dispatched to assess the situation. The victim was treated by paramedics on the scene then transported to the St. Maarten Medical Center (SMMC). Detectives and members of the forensic team conducted their investigation on the crime scene, and a person of interest was arrested.
Detectives are busy investigating the circumstances surrounding this case. Any further update will be given in a subsequent press release.
