Certificate of Conduct forms process only available at Simpson Bay Public Service Center

GREAT BAY, Sint Maarten (DCOMM) – The General Public is hereby informed that effective January 15, 2016, the application process (intake & pick-up) for a Certificate of Conduct (Police Record) will be done at the Public Service Center Department (PSC) in Simpson Bay and no longer at the Immigration & Border Protection Service located at the A. Th. Illidge Road.

As per mentioned date, the old application form for a Certificate of Conduct will be replaced with a new application form.

This form can be downloaded from the Government of St. Maarten’s website:www.sintmaartengov.org (click on the yellow Public Service Center icon below on the Home page, click on: FORMS), or a hard copy can also be obtained from the Public Service Center in Simpson Bay.

The requirements for applying for a Certificate of Conduct are:

  1. Completed form;
  2. A valid passport or ID;
  3. Detailed certificate of registration from the Civil Registry Department (with three (3) months validity). Otherwise this document can be obtained at the Civil Registry Department located at the Public Service Center for a cost of ANG. 17.50
  4. Non-refundable administrative fee of ANG. 45.00 payable at Tax Administration located at the Public Service Center.

The application process will be handled by appointments only to afford persons the opportunity to be personally assisted.

Persons requiring a Certificate of Conduct are therefore advised to contact the department to make an appointment at Tel: (+721) 545-3380 or via email: psc-simpsonbay@sintmaartengov.org.

A “Certificate of Conduct” is required for various purposes including: employment, business licenses application, adoption, residency, foreign visa application, or school placement.

The management of the PSC in this regard wishes to advise applicants that in their efforts to handle these applications in an efficient manner, PSC is asking that an appointment is made within a reasonable time-frame, that the form is accurately completed, and all required documentation is provided.
