CIBC High Tea celebrating women through gender equality

PHILIPSBURG – CIBC FirstCaribbean will again celebrate the achievements of women in all areas of society on International Women’s Day.

This year the bank will host a High Tea Party on Sunday, March 13, at Divi Little Bay Resort, bringing women of different walks of life together.

The High Tea Party will allow women to fellowship and enjoy an afternoon of inspiration and fun-filled activities, including a guest speaker, silent auction and prize(s) for most creative hat and gloves.

Proceeds will go towards the bank’s Walk for the Cure initiative, supporting cancer awareness, and with an emphasis on childhood cancer. Guests are asked to wear a hint of gold.

“CIBC FirstCaribbean International Bank has demonstrated its commitment to the empowerment and advancement of women throughout our organization with several females holding senior executive positions and others heading key departments and units,” said St. Maarten’s Country Manager Heidi Getrouw.

“The bank is committed to the continued support of projects and programs that support women, and encourage the growth and development of the region’s young girls as the next wave of leaders across all spheres of society,” Getrouw added.
