PHILIPSBURG –  In commemoration of Vaccination Week in the America’s 2016,  the Department of Collective Prevention Services (CPS) will host an  Open House on Saturday, June 4th at CPS Offices/Vineyard Office Park from 9 am to 4 pm.

Vaccinations and Vision screenings will be conducted in collaboration with American University of the Caribbean (AUC). Target group are children 0-17 years old and will be vaccinated if not up to date, vision will be screened and presentations will be done. Topics covered in the presentations are “Puberty and Reproductive Health”  by Mrs. Debbie Zwanikken and “Prevention of Cervical Cancer and HPV Vaccination” by Dr. Josien van Wijk and Dr. Daphne Illis.

Last Saturday may 28th , a Bike A Thon was hosted by CPS, also in commemoration of Vaccination Week in the America’s. The Bike  A Thon was attended by a large group of pupils, ranging from 9 to 11 years old, together with volunteers and officers of the Police Department to ensure road safety for the children. All children are welcome on Saturday, June 4th at the Open House Outreach activity, organized by the CPS team.
