LOWLANDS, Sint Maarten – Three unidentified robbers attempted to rob Starz Casino early Friday morning (2:30 am), but was unsuccessful. A Kia SUV drove up and parked in front of the Casino, subsequently two heavily armed masked men exited the SUV and ran up the steps.
They forced themselves through the casino door and went straight to the two Cashier cages. Because of the quick reaction of the inside security and good training of the cashiers, the two cashier cages were evacuated immediately. The robbers could not get to rob the Casino and was forced to leave the scene empty handed.
In the video you can see how confused the two robbers were when they noticed no one was in the cage to hand them money.
One of the robbers is presumed to have locks; the way his head is covered you can still see the difference of a short haircut / bald headed person or a person with locks.
The two armed robbers on their way out broke the main door glass.
The third robber was the driver and remained the entire time in the SUV. They later fled the crime scene in a 4×4 KIA SUV license-plate number P-4839.
