International cooperation between dutch and French leads to arrest of suspects of many armed robberies

~On wednesday night the Dutch side Police arrested four suspects at the Colebay Texaco Gas Station, they was wanted by the French authorities ~

COLEBAY, Sint Maarten — Tuesday 12th January and Wednesday, January 13, 2016, around 19:30, two shops in Marigot were victims of armed robbery with firearms.

The suspects are  four criminals traveling by vehicle and committing their crimes on both sides of the island.

Several assaults and robberies  were committed by  these individuals  earlier this week.

Thus,  alerted by these spate  of armed robberies Wednesday, January 13, the joint reactive forces of the  Dutch and French police led to the arrest of wanted persons on the territory of Sint Maarten.

Through cooperation of the Dutch and French prosecutors office  these persons were placed in custody at the dutch  police station  on Thursday 14 January.

On  14th January 2016 in the morning hours , the Prosecutor of  Basse Terre divulged two armed robberies occurred on French territory for the benefit of its Dutch counterpart.

The suspects are implicated in robberies that occurred on the French and dutch side of the island (Saint Martin and Sint maarten).

The investigation is currently in full swing.
