Philipsburg, Sint Maarten — The engine was off loaded yesterday September 15, 2016, at the harbor under the supervision of Wartsila Technicians and NV GEBE Interim Managing Board Ms. Iris Arrindell and Mr. Kenrick Chittick.

The engine which has to be coupled with the generator (that was off loaded last week) will both be transported to its permanent location within the next ten days.  The generator will replace aged generation units that has plagued the company for the last few months with increased maintenance.

The newest phase of the power plant will help NV GEBE continue to meet the increasing demand for power on the island.
