Members of the Royal Marechaussee sworn in

PHILIPSBURG – On Friday, June 17, during a short ceremony at the office of the Minister of Justice, three new members of the Royal Marechaussee were sworn in by Justice Minister Edson Kirindongo.

Head of Operations for the Royal Marechaussee on St. Maarten Commander Ewout van den Heiden will be transferred to Curaçao, and will be replaced by Commander Christian Hesen. Officers Brenda Bruggeman and Danny Posthuma will both be working at the Border Protection services.

During the ceremony, Minister Kirindongo thanked outgoing commander van den Heiden for his services and the contributions he made in his time in command on St. Maarten, and wished him much success when he takes up his new post on Curaçao.
