SIMPSON BAY – On Tuesday, March 29, the St. Maarten Nature Foundation had the opportunity to take Minister of Public Housing, Environment and Spatial Planning Angel Meyers on a boat tour of the Simpson Bay Lagoon, and to observe the various issues St. Maarten’s most important wetlands faces.
Late last week, after discussions regarding the proposed locations for the Sewage Treatment Plant, the St. Maarten Nature Foundation was requested by the Minister’s Cabinet to physically take him out to see some of the issues that were under discussion.
“We are grateful to Minister Meyers for taking the time and having the interest in discussing the issues and listening to our concerns,” said the St. Maarten Nature Foundation in a statement.
