Morrison appointed Gold Commander of BVI Police

ANGUILLA – Commissioner of Police Paul Morrison of the Royal Anguilla Police Force (RAPF) has been appointed the Gold Commander of a Police corruption investigation in the British Virgin Islands (BVI).

The investigation into the allegations of corruption in the BVI Police Force code name Operation LUCAN began in November 2014, under the Gold Command of Commissioner of Police of the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service David Baines. With the retirement of Commissioner Baines, Commissioner Morrison will now have control of the investigation.

On April 5, 2016 three serving members of the BVI Police Force appeared before the Magistrate’s Court, accused of a number of criminal charges resulting from Operation LUCAN investigation thus far.
