PHILIPSBURG – United People’s Party (UPP) Member of Parliament Tamara Leonard sent a letter to Chairlady of Parliament Sarah Wescot-Williams on Thursday, February 18, asking why she has not received any answers from the Council of Ministers on questions she posed in last week’s Central Committee Meeting on the draft 2016 budget.

In her letter, Leonard asked for an update, and indicated that answers are needed as soon as possible. “Receipt of the answers and related documents is vital to my preparation for the plenary session of Parliament on the same budget set for February 29,” she stated in her letter.

It is her hope that she does not have to wait until just before the debate convenes to receive answers from the Council of Ministers. “There is absolutely nothing hampering the completion and delivery of the answers in writing by the Council of Ministers to Parliament,” she said.
