PHILIPSBURG – On February 26, 2016 the Ombudsman will once again host an Open House at the Bureau Ombudsman, to inform the public of the role of the Ombudsman and to introduce the persons attending to their concerns.
This year the focus of the Open House is on secondary school students, in particular those in the exam classes. Special emphasis will be placed on making them aware of the role of the Ombudsman in serving the community as provided for by the Constitution, as well as encourage them to prepare for a possible future within the High Councils of State.
All public and private high schools have been invited to attend the Open House. Management of the schools is requested to respond promptly to the invitation in order to organize transportation if required.
During the Open House, a short presentation will be given by the Ombudsman. Students will have the opportunity to ask questions about the institution of the Ombudsman, their Constitution and Government structure.
The general public is invited to drop by for a tour of the Bureau and learn more about the tasks and activities of the Ombudsman.
Doors will be opened to the public from 9:00am to 2:00pm.
For more information contact Mr. Randolf Duggins, Secretary General Bureau Ombudsman, at E.C. Richardson Street #13, Philipsburg.
