Rotaract Club Sunrise held 1st general meeting Saturday

PHILIPSBURG – On Saturday, July 23, the Rotaract Club of St. Maarten Sunrise conducted their first general meeting for the year 2016-2017, which was ordered by President Georgette Rampersad.

A presentation was made to persons, as a show of appreciation, who dedicated their time and effort to the Change of Board Ceremony. “Again, special thank you to DJ Siw’Roo, photographer Kerwan Celestine, photographer Cameron Hyman and all the businesses and companies who sponsored and contributed to this event,” a release said.

“During our general meeting, present was the President of Rotary Sunrise Okama Ekpe, our New Generations Chair Rumini Rogers, our Assistant District Rotaract Representative Micaela Hart, prospective members and all the members. We would like to thank you for being present. During our general meeting we shared and discussed upcoming events and projects we wish to carry out this year. More information on those projects will be shared with the public soon. Our general meeting ended by us doing a toast to our starting New Rotaract 2016-2017 year,” the statement concluded.

The next general meeting will be on Saturday, August 13, at 7:30pm at the University of St. Martin (USM).
