(Marigot, St Martin/February 19, 2017)—The Saint Martin Evolution Toastmasters Club is holding its’ first ever Club Speech Contest. Members get the opportunity to put all that they have learned in Toastmasters to the test by competing to represent the Club at the Area Speech Contest, the next level of the Toastmasters numerous speaking competitions held annually.
Every year Toastmasters around the world get the opportunity to compete in speaking competitions from the Club level all the way to up to the International level. However, a member must compete and win on the Club, Area and District levels in order to compete at the International level. There are different kinds of speaking competitions such as the Evaluation Contest, Humorous Speech Contest, Table Topics contest, Tall Tales contest and the main one the International speech contest.
Vying for the top spot to represent the Saint Martin Evolution Club at the Area speaking competition areTM Glennicia Rogers, TM Shirma France, and TM Nadia Agape. Save the date, and come out and support these dynamic women on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at 7pm at the Clubs’ meeting place in Marigot. To help defray the cost, a small fee of $3/€3 is ask for said event.
