The 17-year-old student of the Carapichaima East Secondary School has been charged with the use of obscene language, resisting arrest and three counts of assault on police officers.

She says the police were eventually able to subdue the student and arrest him, before laying the charges.

He appeared before a Couva magistrate this morning where the charges were read to him, following which he was granted bail in the sum of $35,000.

He is to re-appear in court on April 19th, 2016.
