GREAT BAY, Sint Maarten (DCOMM) – Ministry of Public Housing, Environment, Spatial Development and Infrastructure (Ministry VROMI), announces that trench work to connect a sewage line to an existing pit will take place on 12 June.

These works will take place from 8.00AM to 4.00AM on Back Street, Philipsburg.

There will be a road closure from 8.00PM to 4.00AM on 12 June.  Motorised traffic will have to use the Gevangenis Street (vicinity Angelo Boutique) and drive up on Groene Steeg (vicinity Beach Islander alley).

Between 8.00AM and 4.00PM on 12 June, trench work will be carried out in the Van Romondt Steeg (Parrot Alley), and from 8.00PM to 4.00AM, trench work will take place on Back Street to connect the line to the pit.

There will be a partial road closure in connection with trench work on 13 June at Back Street #99 (Sports Caribbean).  These works are in connection with trench work to connect the sewage line to the existing pit.

These works will take place from 8.00PM to 4.00AM.  There will be a road closure on13 June whereby motorized traffic will have to take Korte Steeg (opposite the Methodist Church parking lot) and drive back on Hensly Beaujon Street (NV GEBE).

The trench works will be executed by Windward Roads.

Pedestrians and motorists should pay attention to traffic signs in the area in connection with the works and to watch out for construction personnel and heavy equipment.

Ministry VROMI apologizes for any inconveniences this may cause.
