THE HAGUE, WILLEMSTAD – The Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Affairs has confirmed the receipt of the National Decree to postpone or cancel the elections called for April 28, 2017. It was nominated by the Governor of Curaçao for destruction.
On Friday the Kingdom Council of Ministers (RMR) will presumably make a decision on this request. Presumably, because the agenda of the RMR is not public.
The reason to destroy the National Decree is to ensure the holding of elections on April 28. The Kingdom Council of Ministers shall act in accordance with this principle.
