Jihadkenner van Radboud Universiteit opgepakt

BRUSSEL – De Belgische jihadkenner Montasser AlDe’emeh, verbonden aan de Radboud Universiteit in Nijmegen, is maandag opgepakt. De politie arresteerde de man in zijn woning in de Brusselse gemeente Sint-Jans-Molenbeek wegens het vermoeden van valsheid in geschrifte, meldden Vlaamse media.

AlDe’emeh wordt verdacht van het geven van een valse schriftelijke verklaring (attest) voor een jihadverdachte. Op verzoek van de broer van de verdachte, een imam in Mechelen, maakte de jihadexpert een verklaring waarin stond dat de jihadverdachte een deradicaliseringscursus volgde, maar de Belgische autoriteiten vermoedden dat dit niet klopt.
