Noord-Korea houdt Amerikaan vast

SEOUL – Een Amerikaan is in Noord-Korea opgepakt en wordt beschuldigd van spionage voor Zuid-Korea. De nieuwszender CNN berichtte maandag dat de gearresteerde Kim Dong-chul een beroep op de Amerikaanse regering heeft gedaan om zijn leven te redden. Hij zei in de oproep dat hij voor “conservatieve elementen in Zuid-Korea” foto’s in Noord-Korea heeft gemaakt “van militaire installaties en schandalige toestanden” .
