Joined the Collectivity's sports department in 1996Patricio Carty has dedicated his career to the development and maintenance of the region's sports infrastructure. A former cyclist, he has been passing on his passion for cycling to young people for many years. 2016he co-founded the Sandy Ground Cycling Clubwith the aim of allowing children and teenagers to practice cycling in a structured environment. Over the years, the club has become a space where sport is accompanied by values such as discipline, respect, solidarity, and pushing oneself to the limit. Nicknamed “Blade, the Red Jet”Patricio Carty thus champions a vision of sport as a tool for education and social cohesion. Through cycling, he mentors young people from the neighborhoods of Saint-Martin, encouraging them to push their limits and helping them open up new horizons.
