MARIGOT - A 52 years old, the defendant would have an estimated mental age of between 7 and 10 years. However, the psychiatric expertise believes that he was "perfectly aware that he was crossing a prohibition" by sending a video of him masturbating to a 17-year-old man. On Wednesday, September 23, he was sentenced to a probationary prison sentence for "corruption of a minor over 15 years old".
At the beginning of January 2026, the young man had filed a complaint after receiving a video of a sexual nature from one of his acquaintances. On the images, the defendant is formally identifiable. Questioned by the investigators, the prosecutor and his guardian – who represented him during the hearing – he was said to have been aggressive and said that the teenager was "crazy about him" and had asked her for the video. A version disputed and denied by the victim. In addition, the teenager will soon appear in court for having gone to hit the defendant at his home after receiving the video.
At the hearing, the question of his responsibility was at the heart of the debates. But the psychiatric evaluation, which concluded that he was fully aware at the time of the acts, along with his aggressiveness and the voice message sent before the video — “Check this out, baby” — led the court to decide that he was aware of his actions.
Sentenced to two years in prison with probation, he will have to undergo psychiatric treatment, will not be allowed to work in any profession involving minors for five years, and will have to pay 500 euros to the victim for moral damages.
