Throughout August, cinema will be coming to several neighborhoods of Saint-Martin with the “August at the Cinema". From August 1 to 29, 2026Four free open-air cinema screenings will be offered. Every Saturday evening at 19:30 pm, aimed at families, lovers of 7e Art and young people present in the area during school holidays.

Renewed by the Collectivity of Saint-Martin, through its Department of Cultural Action (DAC), in partnership with the State and the National Center for Cinema and Moving Image (CNC), this operation aims to to offer a cultural and convivial activity on the eve of the start of the school year, in a period generally less eventful, while offering a a temporary alternative to the lack of a cinema in the French part.

The sessions, free and open to allwill be offered in English with French subtitlesThe program will begin on Saturday, August 1st at 19:30 PM with the screening of “Minecraft Movie” à Orleans QuarterOn Saturday, August 8th, the meeting will take place on the sports field of St. Louis to discover “Wicked”After a break on August 15th, which will make way for the Sandy Ground festivities, the screenings will resume on Saturday, August 22nd. Concord, at the Les Sucreries residence, with “Joker 2”The final animated film screening will take place on Saturday, August 29th in the Galisbay parking lot. Marigot with “Snow White”. Spectators are invited to come with their chairs, blankets or rugs to make themselves comfortableFood and drink stalls will be available on site.

Screening tomorrow evening in Quartier d'Orléans

The first screening of the “August at the Movies” program will take place this Saturday, August 1st at 19:30 pm in the parking lot of the Thelbert Carti stadium in Quartier d'Orléans, with the screening of "Minecraft Movie", directed by Jared Hess and released in 2025.

Adapted from the famous video game of the same nameThis 1 hour 41 minute fantasy adventure film plunges viewers into the blocky world of Minecraft, where Steve, Garrett, Henry, and their companions must face numerous challenges to protect the Overworld from a threat from the Nether. The cast includes Jason Momoa (Aquaman), Jack Black (Rock Academy), Emma Myers (Wednesday) and the young Sebastian Hansen.
