Organized by the Directorate of Cultural Affairs (DAC), the European Heritage Days will take place Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 September 2026As every year, this event allows us to to better understand the architectural, cultural and historical heritage of the island, as part of an event organized in some fifty countries in Europe and around the world.
The program will open Saturday, September 19 at 8 p.m. with a guided tour of the old Spring sugar factory and remains of the plantation, in Concordia. 9hThe plant heritage of Saint-Martin will be presented at The old house, in Quartier d'Orléans. In Colombier, the factory of Guavaberry and the Heritage Village will offer several visits to 9h and 10h30Another slot for the former Spring sugar factory is scheduled at 10 hrsbefore a cultural visit to Marigot 16 hrs, with a departure point at the Tourist Office kiosk, on the seafront.
Sunday, September 20th will begin at 8h The first tour will be a visit to the old Spring sugar mill; the second will take place at 10:30 am. 8:30And then 10h and 11h30, the Soualiwomen Kultural Association (SKA) will offer a traditional sewing workshop at its headquarters in Quartier Orléans. The history of Treaty of Concordia will be addressed in front of the border monument in Bellevue 9hAnd then 9:45 and 10:30 AMThe Guavaberry factory in Colombier will, for its part, welcome the public to 9h and 10h30The cultural visit to Marigot will conclude the program. 11 hrs.
These meetings are organized with several partners, including theINRAP, Guavaberry Tradition, Seafood, Island Friend Tours, the SKA, ACS ZEPIN and Heritage and Ancestral Trails of Colombier. An opportunity to explore the island in a different way, through its historical sites, its traditions and the know-how passed down through generations.
