The tests carried out on August 6 by the Regional Health Agency (ARS) confirm the good quality of the bathing waters in Saint-Martin, on the six sites tested in the French part.

Nettle Bay, the northern and southern points of Orient Bay, Friar's Bay, and Galisbay boast excellent water quality. Grand-Case water is considered to be of good quality. These classifications are based on the historical data of sites monitored by the Regional Health Agency (ARS). These controls allow for regular monitoring of the microbiological quality of the water and the detection of any potential contamination that could pose a risk to swimmers. The latest samples have not revealed any particular contamination. At Nettle Bay, the northern point of Orient Bay, Friar's Bay, Galisbay, and Grand-Case, the concentrations of the two monitored indicators (Escherichia coli, intestinal bacteria, and fecal streptococci) are below 15 per 100 ml. At the southern point of Orient Bay, 30 Escherichia coli per 100 ml were detected, while the second indicator remains below 15.

No traces of mineral oils or phenol odors were detected at any of the six sites. Water clarity reached one meter everywhere, meeting the minimum standard. Water temperatures ranged from 27,6°C at Grand-Case to 30,7°C at the northernmost point of Orient Bay.

For the South Mouth Bay, the last sample was taken on May 7 and also concluded that the water quality was good._VX
