During a ceremony held on September 11 in the Grand-Case airport hall, 29 employees from the various companies that contribute to the operation of the airport received the medal of honor for work from the hands of Prefect Cyrille le Vély for their years of service.
On Friday evening, a large part of the Grand-Case airport staff gathered in a warm and friendly atmosphere to pay tribute to 29 of their colleagues. The loyalty, dedication, and professionalism of these employees have contributed for many years to opening up the region.
The ceremony began with a slideshow retracing the history of the airport, as well as the shared moments and memories that have united the men and women who work there over the years. Following this moving and nostalgic presentation, the Prefect of Saint-Martin, Cyrille Le Vély, presented the medals of honor for long service on behalf of the Minister of Labor and Solidarity, Jean-Pierre Farandou.
In total, 29 awards were presented, recognizing varying lengths of service: 11 silver medals, corresponding to more than 18 years of service, 9 vermeil medals for more than 25 years, 2 gold medals for more than 30 years, and 7 grand gold medals for more than 35 years. _DR
