1 in 8 women in France The risk of developing breast cancer during one's lifetime is high. It is the most common and deadliest cancer among women in France. Yet, when detected early, it is also the most treatable: 9 out of 10 women are generally on the road to recovery. To encourage screening and raise awareness, October is dedicated worldwide to breast cancer prevention and awareness. We attended the first event of the month in Saint-Martin, organized by the Archigirls rugby club, to meet participants, athletes, and visitors and understand why this cause is so personal for them.
