This Monday, September 11, 2023, the delegated prefect of the Northern Islands, Vincent Berton spoke to the agents of the administrative city on the occasion of the start of the school year, in the presence of the agency's Antilles and Polynesia program director. public for the real estate of justice (APIJ), Philippe Eloi.
Vincent Berton greeted and thanked Danielle Gontour, first employee of the sub-prefecture of Saint-Barthélemy and Saint-Martin, who was also present. He also welcomed new arrivals to the administrative city.
Philippe Eloi from APIJ then made a presentation of the work of the future administrative and judicial city (CITAJ).
This large-scale project is financed by the State to the tune of 38 million euros. The installation of the site will take place around the beginning of October and it should be completed in the third quarter of 2025. The work will be carried out according to low nuisance standards.
At least 50% of contracts will be carried out by local subcontracting and a minimum of 18 hours of work will be devoted to people in integration.
This CITAJ will bring together 12 state services as well as 4 public establishments on the same site, which will facilitate access to services for the population.
