La rénovation du plateau sportif entre dans sa première phase ce mercredi 22 juillet. La Collectivité de Saint-Martin engage un programme de modernisation qui débutera par le renouvellement des équipements sportifs.

Jusqu’au 24 juillet, deux nouveaux paniers de basket seront installés en remplacement de deux des quatre équipements existants. Deux buts mixtes de football et de handball viendront également compléter les installations afin de diversifier les activités proposées aux usagers.

Le chantier nécessitera des opérations de découpe du revêtement, de terrassement et de coulage de massifs en béton, avec l’intervention d’engins spécialisés. Les automobilistes sont priés de ne pas stationner à proximité du site pendant les travaux afin de faciliter les manœuvres des engins. Les piétons sont également appelés à éviter les zones où le béton vient d’être coulé jusqu’à son séchage complet.

Cette première étape marque le lancement d’un projet de rénovation plus vaste. Dans les prochains mois, le plateau sportif sera doté d’un nouvel éclairage avant de bénéficier d’une réfection complète de son revêtement de sol, afin d’améliorer durablement les conditions de pratique pour les sportifs de Grand-Case.
