SEDC is pleased to announce the launch of the Creative Grant Writing Training Program, starting October 12, 2026. The program is designed to enhance participants’ capacity to identify funding opportunities, develop compelling grant proposals, prepare appropriate budgets, and secure financial support for business and organizational initiatives.
Funded by TWO, the training forms part of the Advanced Education Program’s commitment to elevating business capabilities and supporting participants in developing the knowledge and practical skills needed to pursue funding opportunities effectively.
The five-day training program will equip participants with practical skills in grant writing, budget development, risk mitigation, reporting, and research on funding agencies.
The program will be facilitated by Elton Villareal, CEO of TRININC, who will guide participants through key elements of the grant development process. He quotes, “Effective grant writing requires more than a compelling idea. It demands careful planning, a well-structured budget, a clear understanding of project risks, and the ability to identify funding partners whose priorities align with the proposed initiative. This training is intended to help participants strengthen these essential skills and approach funding opportunities with greater confidence.”
Registered participants will gain practical knowledge of how to mitigate project risks, develop sound, realistic budgets, ensure proper reporting, and research funding agencies aligned with specific project objectives. SEDC looks forward to welcoming participants to this practical learning experience and supporting their efforts to develop stronger proposals, improve project planning, and pursue funding opportunities more strategically.
