The front of the Ford Edge collided with the left rear side of the Kia Sportage. The impact caused the driver of the Ford Edge to lose control. The Ford Edge continued forward and struck a GEBE streetlight pole before subsequently colliding with the concrete wall of a used-car company.

Police officers conducted investigations at both accident scenes. The circumstances surrounding the two collisions remain under investigation. KPSM is reminding motorists and other road users to exercise caution, particularly during the early morning hours, and to comply with traffic laws and regulations.
