Dog and cat owners are invited to take advantage of a sterilization campaign organized by the Sint Maarten Veterinary Clinic on June 19th and 20th. The operation aims to combat animal overpopulation while promoting the health and well-being of pets.
For the occasion, several services will be offered free of charge. Animals will be able to be tested for heartworm and tick-borne encephalitis, two common diseases in the region. Animals that test positive will also have access to a free veterinary consultation and treatment, under certain conditions.
With space limited to 25 animals per day, organizers recommend that owners register quickly. Reservations can be made directly with the Cay Hill Veterinary Clinic (25 Executive Commercial Building, Bouwers Road) at +1 721 542 0111.
Beyond the medical aspect, this campaign aims to raise public awareness of the importance of sterilization, an effective way to prevent unwanted litters, reduce the number of stray animals, and improve the quality of life for pets.
