GREAT BAY--Antek IT Solutions hosted an anniversary event at Emilio’s Restaurant to recognize 30 years of Payroll Pro HRM, a payroll application used widely in St. Maarten and throughout the Dutch Caribbean. Clients, partners, and colleagues gathered for an evening that included short remarks, light snacks, drinks, and music as they reflected on the software’s three decades of use in the region.
Director Donovan Smith opened the event by noting the long working relationship between Antek and Gamma IT Solutions, the developers of Payroll Pro HRM. “This milestone is more than a celebration of a product — it’s a celebration of partnership,” Smith said. “For 30 years, Antek and Gamma have worked hand-in-hand to support organizations in St. Maarten. It’s a relationship built on trust, innovation, and the shared mission of helping businesses take care of their employees.”
Former director Klaas van Sloten and long-serving team member Louis Bute shared their experiences from the earlier years of the software and spoke about the effort required to support clients and maintain the system.
Representatives from Gamma IT Solutions, including Managing Director Frank Baks, joined Antek at the event. Giovanni Wester of Gamma delivered brief remarks on the development of Payroll Pro HRM and noted that the next phase will include artificial intelligence features designed to improve payroll processing and the user experience.
Antek IT Solutions emphasized that it will continue supporting Payroll Pro users through local service, training, and coordination with its development partners.
