PHILIPSBURG:— The Down Syndrome St. Maarten & Caribbean Foundation is a non-profit organization that caters to the needs of persons with Down Syndrome. For SXM DOET 2016 on Saturday March 12th. our foundation has organized a program that gives our members an opportunity to familiarize themselves with different art forms and safety techniques such as self-defense, First Aid, painting and much more.
At the ending of the day, all participants with Down Syndrome will receive a at certificate of participation and will have the opportunity to showcase what they have learned to family and friends. The day will end with a dance party for all persons present.
Persons with Down Syndrome may invite no more than 2 family members / siblings at $5.00 each. Food, drinks, snacks and transportation (if needed) can be provided. Come and join us on the 12th of March at the Little Well Oasis in Cole Bay. Lets learn, laugh, share and exchange smiles.
We look forward to having all persons with Down Syndrome on St. Maarten and the neighboring islands join us on this day. By introducing new art forms and skills to your members and families, we hope that they may one day use these skills to either save a life and/or create something beautiful. We need your participation to make this a success.
In closing, we leave you with our motto,SEE POTENTIAL, SEE POSSIBILITIES, DON’T LIMIT OUR VOICES.
