Two spaces located on the ground floor of the Les Salines Residence à Orleans district are preparing to open their doors in September. This new day care service, run by the Bethany Home EHPAD, is intended for elderly people suffering from Alzheimer's disease or suffering from associated cognitive disordersIt will be able to accommodate up to 12 beneficiaries daily, from Monday to Friday, between 9 a.m. and 16:30 p.m.

“These are people who are often isolated at home. Our goal is to work on memory, resocialization, but also to allow caregivers to breathe a little,” explains Jean-Michel Lamarre, coordinator of the structure. The day center, accessible from 60 years old, is aimed at the entire territory, without condition of residence in Quartier d'Orléans. A medical report and a social security affiliation will however be required.

The spacious and bright premises, are designed to offer a variety of spaces suitable for cognitive stimulation and comfort. The building, made available for rental by the Semsamar, will include a projection room, gathering spaces, consultation, physiotherapy et psychology, as well as several offices and furnished terraces. Exterior design will be entrusted to the Companion Builders, whose 1/3 place is located nearby. The association will conduct a solidarity project to create a therapeutic garden in front of the day center.
