PHILIPSBURG – The incoming Members of Parliament for the 2018-2022 Governing term were sworn in today by Governor Eugene Holiday at Harbor View in Philipsburg. The new Parliament will be St. Maarten’s 4th in only 8 years.
The new Parliament will consist of 7 members from the United Democrats (UD), 5 of the National Alliance (NA), 2 from the United St. Maarten Party (USP) and 1 from the St. Maarten Christian Party (SMCP). 4 new MPs will enter Parliament, being: Dr. Luc Mercelina (UD), Rolando Brison (USP), Wycliffe Smith (SMCP) and Jurendy Doran (NA) who were all elected in the February 26th snap elections.
