Minister of Tourism, Economic Affairs, Transport & Telecommunications (TEATT) of Sint Maarten, Grisha Heyliger-Marten, extends heartfelt congratulations to MFK on their historic landslide victory in Curaçao’s elections, securing 13 seats.
Special recognition goes to Prime Minister Gilmar Pisas, as well as Charetti America, Charles Cooper, and Javier Silvania, for their leadership and dedication to the people of Curaçao. Minister Heyliger-Marten expressed her optimism about continuing strong collaboration between the governments of Sint Maarten and Curaçao in the years ahead.
“I had the privilege of getting to know Charetti America when I held the same position as her, serving as Chairlady and Member of Parliament. Her dedication to public service is commendable, and I look forward to seeing her contributions to Curaçao’s governance. I have also had the opportunity to engage with Charles Cooper on various occasions as my counterpart Minister, and I’ve met Prime Minister Pisas and Minister of Finance Javier Silvania in different work settings. Their leadership has been instrumental in Curaçao’s progress.”
Heyliger-Marten noted the visible advancements in Curaçao and emphasized the people’s clear mandate for continued development. “The people have spoken, and this victory is a testament to the trust placed in MFK’s vision and leadership. As Minister of TEATT, I look forward to working closely with Prime Minister Pisas and his government over the next four years to strengthen regional cooperation, economic resilience, and tourism development between Sint Maarten and Curaçao.”
Minister Heyliger-Marten concluded by reaffirming her commitment to fostering strong ties between both islands, stating, “Together, we can build a more prosperous future for our nations.”
