MIDDLE REGION--Kompa hit sensation Oswald and the legendary zouk band Kassav to feature the 2026 Night of the Hit Makers, delivering a night filled with pulsating hits.
Dubbed St. Maarten’s premier Carnival dance experience, Night of the Hit Makers promoted by Fleming's Xtratight Entertainment is set to be bigger and better than ever. This year’s line-up features Kassav; St. Maarten’s own Kompa star Oswald; soca sensations Edwin Yearwood & Krosfyah; and the island’s number one dance band, Control.
The event will be hosted by Uncle Shadz, with CD Rankin providing music throughout the night.
Scheduled for Saturday, May 2, 2026, Night of the Hit Makers is part of the official calendar for St. Maarten Carnival 55. The show will take place at the Carnival Village and will feature the traditional all-white dress theme that has become a staple of the event’s legacy.
Now entering another year as one of Carnival’s longstanding musical productions, Night of the Hit Makers continues to present a lineup that reflects its multi-genre roots and regional influence. Xtratight Entertainment will also maintain the signature dance-floor format used in previous editions. “We will always ensure that people can enjoy and utilize the dance floor for most of the night,” Fleming said.
First introduced in 2013, Night of the Hit Makers has become one of the most attended concert nights during Carnival, known for spotlighting major regional acts and preserving a blend of soca, zouk, and local musical traditions within the festival’s programming.
“This will be the ultimate dance party, and people can expect a great production as always. We will do exactly what we say we’re going to do without compromise. From start to finish, the production will be designed to keep the people entertained and dancing throughout the night for the 55th Carnival Celebration,” said Fleming.
He thanked Hit Makers fans for their continued support, as well as his Xtratight team for their dedication each year.
