PHILIPSBURG:--- Investigators arrested one more suspect identified as R.F the suspect was arrested at the Princess Juliana International Airport confirmed spokesman for the attorney general’s office Norman Serphos. R.F landed at PJIAE on Saturday coming from the Dominican Republic. SMN News learnt that as soon as the immigration officers scanned Flanders passport they asked him to accompany them to a room where they informed him that they have a warrant out for his arrest, therefore they are holding him until the detectives reach the airport to escort him to their office. The office of the Attorney General office maintains that there are still a number of possible arrests in the Octopus investigation that is currently ongoing.
The suspect that was arrested is Robelto Flanders, better known as Babadoo of Sucker Garden. So far there are six persons in custody, MP Silvio Matser, Eddie Fleming, Rogelio Koieman, Robelto Flanders, and two unknown persons identified as W. B and J.B.
Robelto “Babadoo” Flanders was released just before his six hours in custody Saturday afternoon. Relatives of Babadoo Flanders confirmed to SMN News that their relative was released after being questioned by investigators. SMN News tried to confirm the release of the well-known businessman with the Attorney General’s office but the spokesman Norman Serphos could not be reached.
