PHILIPSBURG – A “public peaceful protest/demonstration to show our objections against the groundbreaking for the Pearl of China project scheduled for Sept 17th, 2016” has been requested by HOPE political party leader Mercedes van de Waals-Wyatt and concerned resident Francine de Polo.
The HOPE party leader and De Polo sent the “notification request” for the public peaceful protest/demonstration to take place from 10 am – 5 pm on Bel Air Beach this Saturday, Sept 17th 2016 to Minister Kirindongo today. The letter notifies the Minister of Justice Kirindongo and references article 13.1 and 13.2 of the Constitution of St. Maarten.
