Preparation for the start of the school year and follow-up by elected officials

MARIGOT: This Wednesday, August 31, 2022, on the eve of the start of the new school year, Senator and Territorial Councillor Annick Petrus met with several officials at her office in order to take stock of current issues and to fine-tune the final preparations for the start of the school year.

Annick Petrus invited the Rector Christine Gangloff-Ziegler, the new Vice-Rector Harry Christophe, the National Education Inspector Christian Borrat, as well as Dominique Louisy, third vice-president of the Collectivité de Saint-Martin in charge of, among other things, the Education, School Affairs and Higher Education Commission, and President of the Board of Directors of the Territorial School Fund.

During this meeting, an update was given on all the current issues concerning education, bilingualism, the Digital Educational Territory and the connected campus. Annick Petrus assures of the progress of the files, as well as the construction of the college of Quartier d’Orléans and the college 900 whose works should not delay. In conclusion, she asserts that “all the partners involved are doing their best to improve the educational care of our students.”
