The traditional 2023 Back to School Strides will take place this Sunday, October 1 (5 km run and walk) without forgetting the 2 km race for children born between 2009 and 2013.
This 22th edition is part of the Pink October campaign, national month for the fight against breast cancer. Breast cancer is the most common cancer in France and represents the leading cause of cancer death in women. This is why it is important not to be afraid to talk about it and get informed. It is necessary to adopt good reflexes such as screening, “which can save lives”, underlines the website of the National League Against Cancer. “Detected early, breast cancer is cured in 90% of cases! ". Pink October is the month when we find out about breast cancer and talk to those around us. But you have to think about it all year round!
Registrations will take place this Saturday, September 30 at the Halle des Sports in Marigot from 9 a.m. to 13 p.m. Registration fee: 10 euros or 10 dollars (5 km run and walk). The 2 km race for children is free.
The funds collected for the 5 km Walk will be donated to an association. Come along, it’s for a good cause! _AF
