THEATRE “Vampire Academy”: a comedy with plenty of bite | FAXINFO

After two sold-out first performances last weekend, spectators still have a chance to succumb to the charm of the play “Vampire Academy”. The The Heads of Art Company replay it bewitching comedy this Friday, October 31 and Saturday, November 1 at 19:30 p.m. at Chapel Theatre. Enough to have a Halloween with a smile… or rather with long canines.

The decor, enough to make Dracula himself pale, and a play of lights worthy of Thriller, instantly immerse the audience in the gothic universe of Bloody Mary Academy, a prestigious school where students learn the delicate art of biting. But this year, nothing is going as planned: Drucilla dreams of the theater, Dragomir doesn't have a single magic canine tooth, and Headmaster Vadek tries to keep his cool in the face of a disciplinary council more heated than a full moon.

Written and directed by Laurence Blanc, this comedy burlesque and family handles dark humor with lightness and spice. Between thunderous references, confessions and spectacular entrances, the ten actors, including three teenagers, bring to life a gallery of characters that are both funny and touching.

Behind the cascading laughter and bloody punchlines, The play also questions the quest for identity: how to find your place in a future all mapped out? At the Bloody Mary Academy, we learn above all that it is possible to accept one's differences…without losing its reflection.

Accessible from six years old, “Vampire Academy” charms young and old alike: a show that proves that you can laugh at anything, even with a big tooth… and a little bag of sweets! _Vx
