Kralendijk- Winair’s partner on the route between Curaçao and Sint Maarten finds itself in hot water, after Airport Operator Consorcio Aeropuerto Dominicanos Siglo 21, cut essential services to the airline due to non-payment. The suspension of the Aerodom facilities includes ramp services, aircraft parking, private security of the office, electric water, among others. Aerdom did not specify the amount of debt by PAWA.
The offices at Pawa Dominicana at the International Airport of Las Americas have been without power, a situation which according to an observer, made it hard for employees to provide passengers with the normal level of service.
A correspondent from the Diario Libre newspaper contacted the public relations manager of the airline, but was only informed that the airline ‘continued with the execution of its regular flight schedule.
The airline in the course of today put out a soothing statement, downplaying the situation at Las America Airport. However, the measures taken by Aerodom do not at reflect favoraby on the airline and also puts in the question their financial stability and viability.
