SINT MAARTEN (SOUTH REWARD) - Many parents want to give their children the best possible preparation for university, and the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme remains one of the strongest choices available.
At St. Dominic High School, the IB Programme helps students build solid academic foundations while developing into confident and capable young adults ready for higher education.
Since its authorization in April 2010, St. Dominic High School has served as an IB World School dedicated to high quality and internationally recognized education. More than 219 students have completed the programme and continued their studies at universities in Canada, the Caribbean region, the Netherlands, France, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
The programme is subsidized by the Government of Sint Maarten, and parents only contribute a small annual fee of XCG 1,750, which makes a world-class education far more accessible to local families.
The IB Diploma Programme is a two-year pre-university course for students ages 16 to 19. It encourages independent thinking, strong study habits, and the personal maturity that universities value.
Students at St. Dominic High School can pursue subjects such as English Literature, Spanish, Dutch, Mandarin, Business Management, Environmental Systems and Societies, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, and Visual Arts, offered at both Standard and Higher Levels.
Parents often choose the IB because it develops well-rounded students who can research, analyze, and communicate effectively. The programme’s academic and creative requirements help students gain skills that support success in both university and life.
Universities worldwide recognize IB graduates as well prepared, which helps students stand out in the admissions process.
St. Dominic High School is proud to offer a pre-university pathway that opens doors to global opportunities. Families who want to learn more are invited to attend the public Information Session on January 7th, 2026, at 6:00 PM on the school campus located at 209 LB Scott Road, Reward, St.Maarten.
