SINT MAARTEN (GREAT BAY) - Aalbers Private Tax Advisory has expanded its website, aalbersprivatetaxadvisory.com, from a firm website into a free knowledge portal on tax law in Sint Maarten and the wider Dutch Caribbean.
At its centre is the Caribbean Tax Update, a weekly e-mail in English that summarises new tax case law, legislation and administrative news from Sint Maarten, Curaçao, Aruba and the Caribbean Netherlands (BES), with a direct link to every source document.
Until now, professionals on Sint Maarten who wanted to follow tax developments in the Dutch Caribbean had to rely on Dutch-language sources. The Caribbean Tax Update appears every Monday and covers the decisions of the Courts of First Instance, the Joint Court of Justice and the Supreme Court of the Netherlands in Caribbean tax matters, as well as new and pending legislation, official gazettes, announcements of the tax administrations and ministries of finance, and Kingdom and international developments that affect the islands.
All editions remain available on the website, so the archive grows into a searchable record of Caribbean tax developments.
