SAINT-MARTIN (MARIGOT) – Additional resources arrived in Marigot on Sunday morning from Guadeloupe via the French naval vessel Dumont D’ Urville.
The re-enforcements according to the Prefecture comprises of the 33rd RIMA, trucks, jeeps and other resources.
The Dumont D’ Urville is one of four ships of the d’Entrecasteaux-class multi-mission ship and are mainly based in France’s overseas territories.
These types of vessels are designed to carry out overseas missions of sovereignty, law enforcement and logistics support.
The vessels homeport is Fort-de-France, Martinique.
It is 65-meters in length and has a crew of 20.
