COCI Celebrates Strong Progress of the Start Smart Sint Maarten Pilot Project | Soualiganewsday

SINT MAARTEN (GREAT BAY) - The St. Maarten Chamber of Commerce & Industry (COCI) is excited to share the remarkable progress of the Start Smart Sint Maarten Pilot Project, an initiative dedicated to supporting aspiring and existing entrepreneurs through business formalization assistance and business development training.

The response from the community has exceeded expectations. Following a thorough review of all applications, 72 applicants were found to be eligible for participation.

Through careful planning and efficient allocation of available project resources, the Chamber is pleased that every eligible applicant will have the opportunity to participate in the pilot project.

Training sessions are scheduled to commence next week, with participants taking part in a series of practical courses covering financial management, marketing, artificial intelligence, customer engagement, and other essential business skills.

The final training sessions are scheduled to conclude in mid-October, marking the completion of the pilot project's comprehensive training program. COCI extends its sincere gratitude to all sponsoring organizations, stakeholders, and training providers for their invaluable partnership and commitment to the success of this initiative.

Their collective investment in entrepreneurship is creating meaningful opportunities for local micro / small businesses while contributing to a more resilient and diversified economy for Sint Maarten.
